You’ll feel well at the Villa Tranquillite witch is well named. Comfortable accommodation all over the year. A nice 4000 m2 garden with a peaceful view across the countryside. You can rent all the cottage (6-8 persons). Take information!

Our British friends will not feel lost in Brittany. Thatched-roof houses, manors, property bought and well-maintained by … British people, actually; dancing by the sound of the biniou or bagpipes… even the rain whitch has crossed the Channel to come into Brittany! Right, I am probably exaggerating, especially as it does not rain as often as it is reported: ‘it is sunny several times a day’ we say locally. We also say that ‘it only rains on Parisians’ but sssh…!! This is between you and us!

So, we bring some sun cream (espacilly if you want to ride a bike), a raincoat, a beachwear, the fishing shells shoes, hiking shoes, beach shoes… and then we check the sky. You learn to guess the secrets of the wind.

Pets welcomed, please tell us when booking or well before your arrival. We have for cats, a couple of peacock et chicken.

British people appreciate quality and look for picturesque places to holiday. La Villa Tranquillite is a "maison de caractère" situated on a classified site in Rohan by the canal lock and weir and the "Chapelle Notre Dame de Bon Encontre". The house was built around 1920 and we have retained the charm of the beautiful era of the Gustavian-style decor of the 1930’s - in light shades of grey and white, and simply furnished.

Our vegetarian meals include many organic products and are appreciated by our guests. The family menu costs EUR17 per person without wine, and EUR20 per person with wine. Board and half-board special prices are available.
There is also the opportunity to try our large range of green, white and black, organic or herbal teas. Have a look on what we can suggest you at breakfast or for diner!

Our five guest rooms all have canal views, with either a bath or shower, with high quality bed linen. All rooms include tea and coffee making facilities, with a wide selection of teas, coffees and infusions.

Villa Tranquillité is well located in Brittany, near Pontivy (56) midway between Vannes and the south coast, and Saint-Brieuc and the north coast, with easy access to many famous sites: The Gulf of Morbihan and its islands (1 hour) ; the ocean beaches of Carnac and Erdeven (1:20); the coast around Saint Brieuc (1:20); the Côte de Granit Rose (1:50) ; St. Malo (1:50); Mont St. Michel (2 hours). The charm of the Nantes/ Brest Canal attracts many hikers, cyclists and recreational boat users. You will delight in its calm waters and mysteries.
